January 6, 2016, marks the 75th anniversary of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s Four Freedoms speech, in which he identified four essential human freedoms that would become part of the foundation of the post-war international human rights system.
The second annual Iowa Human Rights Research Conference is being planned for April 8 and 9, 2016, at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Details and the call for proposals will be posted to this website in mid-January.
The Iowa human rights academic network invites undergraduate submissions addressing human rights issues for its inaugural student research conference on April 18, 2015, in Des Moines. The deadline for submissions is February 20.
