Update: The coronavirus is presenting a significant public health challenge and is resulting in major disruptions to normal activities in higher education and broader society. In light of the suspension of live classes at both Drake University (our conference host) and the University of Iowa (which co-organizes the conference) through early April and disruptions at many other Iowa colleges and universities, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Iowa Human Rights Research Conference. All of us involved in the conference steering committee are terribly disappointed but feel this is the necessary and responsible course of action given the circumstances.

The sixth annual Iowa Human Rights Research Conference takes place on Saturday, April 4, at Drake University School of Law in Des Moines. The conference is hosted by the Iowa Network of Human Rights Academics and the University of Iowa Center for Human Rights. The conference features presentations by students and faculty members from colleges and universities across Iowa. A tentative conference schedule will be available soon.

To register to attend the conference, please complete this registration form by March 27.
